Canyon of the Grand Obelisk is a location in Outriders.
Story Recap[]
You discovered a column of human vehicles that lay destroyed in the sand. Further on, you found an abandoned human fort, and reports written by the humans and their leader, Monroy. They called the creatures,"Ferals," likely the same creatures you've encountered.
You were able to use the fort's antenna to get more accurate coordinates on the signal itself. What you did not expect was to finally hear the signal clearly. A human voice, a plea for help.
Oh your way to the signal's source, you stumbled upon colossal native structures.

Dr Abraham Zahedi - Expedition Notes
Breaking up the monotony of endless sand, these labyrinthine canyons hide a network of ancient structures built into the rockface. Sitting here, I can almost feel a cool draft sifting through these rifts. Despite the height of these cliffs, I see the top of an enormous obelisk standing taller, far larger than any other obelisk we've seen before, levitating above another bottomless well, casting a long shadow across the canyons.
Once more, the logical explanation points to August's ancestors having built all this. And once more, the native traveling with us refuses confirmation of any of this, though August's face seemed to be drown with fear. I wish I could prod August further, but I fear inciting Tiago's anger.
