The signal is coming from the direction of the forest. On the road to it, you encountered a sign warning of a minefield, blocking you from going further.
You stopped in Deadrock Pass, hoping to find a way past it, but no luck. Grand Marshal Corrigan seems to be the only who can get your convoy past the minefield. His associate, Marshal Bailey, has offered to introduce you to Corrigan if you help her transport her prisoner to Trench Town, where he resides.
Strangely enough, the prisoner and Jakub Dąbrowski seem to share some history.

Deadrock Pass, Marshal Cullen’s turf. The only stop between Rift Town and Trench Town. All the lumber to build the trenches on the frontline comes from here. Used to be trees as far as you can see... Now it's mostly just mud.
ECA Official Declaration Concerning Dead Rock Pass
The narrow pass that connects Rift Town and Trench Town has become a vital supply line for both our communities. It is time to end our differences, and focus on our mutual fight against the Insurgents.
The mountains around the pass are an essential resource for the extraction of lumber, used to build and fortify the trenches that are critical to the war effort in both communities. To ensure the safety of lumberjacks and the continued operation of the lumber mill, an outpost will be built to secure Deadrock Pass. It will be a joint venture between our communities, and mark the end of our antagonisms to date.
The Grand Marshals of Rift Town and Trench Town have pledged to:
- Dedicate an equal share of personnel and resources for the building and manning of this outpost.
- Jointly appoint Alastair Cullen, and independent Marshal, with the sole jurisdiction of Deadrock Pass.
- Extract and equal share of lumber for their respective territories.
