Tiago de la Luz is a character in Outriders.
Journal Entry[]
Tiago was born into war, and like everyone else that lives in the trenches, Tiago lost the people closest to him. Broken, defeated, devoid of purpose, he teetered at the forest's edge, contemplating walking inside and to his death.
A Deserter, searching for lost souls that ventured into the forest in desperation, stumbled across Tiago by chance and explained that a second life awaited him. Although he was highly suspicious of the Deserter's claims, of a safe haven deep inside the forest where many others lived in peace, Tiago had nothing to lose. His intimidating size and strength, juxtaposed by his disarming kindness, made him a favorite among many in the Enclave.
Which makes it all the more surprising that you found him imprisoned inside a cage, trying to bargain with you for his freedom, and exposing Scurlock's ominous intentions with Zahedi.

Tiago led you to the Stronghold, where you discovered Scurlock's terrible secret and his intention to add Zahedi to the sacrifice pile. Tiago then led you to August, the native that was held prisoner and experimented on in Scurlock's lab. Tiago felt responsible for the native's capturing, and was relieved for August's rescue.
After Tiago escorted Zahedi to safety with the convoy, you invited him to join you, noting his knowledge of the forest, its terrain, its creatures, and his eagerness to explore further.

After August's death, Tiago was distraught. Learning the truth about Monroy's actions, his subjugation of the Pax, how he forced them to change into Ferals, it finally brought Tiago to his knees. Despondent and hopeless, he walked off into the desert, abandoning you and the mission, just as he abandoned the trenches. Perhaps he isn't the voyager he claimed to be.
Tiago knows full well that solitude in this desert means almost certain death.

As the Ferals' attack on the Caravel tore apart what was left of the ship, Tiago reappeared, driving your truck, just in time to rescue Bailey, Channa and Zahedi from the burning wreck.
His hope rekindled in the success of the mission, and in seeing all the pilgrims that followed the legend of the Outriders, Tiago returned to your side to continue the fight to recover the drop pods scattered across Enoch.
Gameplay[]
In the endgame, Tiago acts as a vendor for Legendary gear. In his store, you can seek to acquire specific items. In exchange for Drop Pod Resources, he will allow you to re-roll the gear on offer or purchase a mystery Legendary piece.
